Format: Commander

Commander: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow is a single-faced commander; the deck is built around her ninjutsu combat damage trigger rather than a transformation. The primary plan is to attack with cheap evasive creatures, pay commander ninjutsu to put Yuriko in already attacking, and reveal top-of-library cards to drain each opponent by their mana value. Secondary paths use Ninja draw engines (Moon-Circuit Hacker, Ingenious Infiltrator) and equipment voltron on Yuriko (Quietus Spike, Genji Glove). Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive acts as the hidden commander by making Yuriko and other 1-power attackers unblockable, while graveyard-to-top effects such as Haunted Crossroads and Gravepurge turn Sibsig Muckdraggers and Tainted Specter into repeatable 9- and 4-life drains.
