Demon Tribal by ksmylez

Format: Commander

Commander: Ob Nixilis, the Fallen

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helmed by Ob Nixilis, the Fallen, this is a mono-black demon-tribal deck that turns every land drop into a bolt. The primary plan is to ramp aggressively with Wayfarer's Bauble, Burnished Hart, Crypt Ghast, and the Cabal Coffers/Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth engine, then bury opponents under an army of large flying demons. The commander converts each landfall trigger into 3 life lost and three +1/+1 counters, so fetchlands, Sword of the Animist, and Myriad Landscape chain multiple triggers per turn, turning Ob into a compounding commander-damage and life-drain threat. Heavy card advantage from Phyrexian Arena, Vilis, Broker of Blood, and Kothophed, Soul Hoarder keeps the deck fed. It wins through commander damage, a swarm of 6/6 flyers, the alternate win condition Liliana's Contract, or a table-clearing Exsanguinate. This is a classic big-black midrange pile: inevitable in long games, but slow, sorcery-speed, and vulnerable to early disruption.
