Deck overview

This deck is an X-spell combo and ramp strategy commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The primary game plan accelerates mana through early dorks and land ramp to cast Zaxara on Turn 3, setting up a game-ending infinite mana combo on Turn 4 using Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura. Once infinite mana is established, the deck channels its surplus into lethal finishers such as Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate, or draws into them using massive X-draw spells like Blue Sun's Zenith. Beyond the primary combo, the deck features a resilient midrange backup plan powered by enormous Hydra creature tokens, counter doublers like Branching Evolution and Doubling Season, and evasive threats enabled by Herald of Secret Streams and Garruk's Uprising. Protective spells such as Heroic Intervention and Veil of Summer help insulate the combo turns against opposing disruption.
