Commander: Abaddon the Despoiler

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck wins with incremental noncombat damage, not combat or infinite combos. You deploy fragile pingers - Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, Thermo-Alchemist, Coruscation Mage, Vivi Ornitier and Gandalf - that deal 1-2 damage to each opponent when you cast noncreature spells. Amplifiers such as Solphim, Tor Wauki, Mechanized Warfare, Ojer Axonil and Artist's Talent double that damage. Abaddon the Despoiler gives cascade to spells you cast from hand after your pingers have dealt damage this turn, which creates extra casts and extra triggers. Cost reducers and draw engines let you chain many cheap spells in one turn, with Kess, Past in Flames and Mizzix's Mastery to recast the graveyard for lethal.
