Deck overview

This is a Rakdos aristocrats combo deck helmed by Gev, Scaled Scorch, built around the classic persist + counter engine. Gev's static ability gives every creature you control an additional +1/+1 counter whenever an opponent has lost life that turn - which perfectly cancels the -1/-1 counter persist creatures return with, enabling infinite sacrifice loops. The deck deploys cheap persist creatures (Putrid Goblin, Murderous Redcap, Lesser Masticore) alongside a dense suite of sacrifice outlets (Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar) and converts the loops into a win through Goblin Bombardment, Impact Tremors, or Murderous Redcap's own enter-the-battlefield ping. Life-loss enablers like Flame Rift, Tectonic Hazard, and Spear Spewer turn on Gev's counters. Secondary plans include Bloodletter of Aclazotz doubling all life loss and combat beats from Thunderblust, with Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Diabolic Intent providing tutoring to assemble the engine.
