Elder Dragon Abuse by Spades

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck centers on Smaug the Impenetrable, an indestructible flying threat that generates massive amounts of Treasure whenever he takes noncombat damage. The primary strategy involves casting large damage-based board wipes like Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, and Chain Reaction to wipe opponents creatures while keeping Smaug intact and generating dozens of Treasures. From there, the deck converts burst Treasure mana and artifact tokens into lethal damage using artifact-burn engines like Marionette Master equivalents, Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, Mirkwood Bats, or giant damage outlets like Crackle with Power and Exsanguinate. Secondary win conditions include combat pressure with damage-reflection equipment or Toralf, God of Fury combos.
