Deck overview

This Gruul Stompy deck is built around Xenagos, God of Revels, leveraging his ability to grant haste and double the power of a creature at the beginning of each combat phase. The deck uses efficient mana acceleration to deploy Xenagos on Turn 3 or 4, immediately followed by high-impact threats like Bloodthirster, Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient, and Ojer Kaslem, Deepest Growth. Xenagos turns these threats into lethal, must-answer beaters that attack the turn they enter the battlefield. Extra combat spells such as Seize the Day, Relentless Assault, and Great Train Heist trigger Xenagos repeatedly in a single turn, doubling creature stats exponentially. Hand replenishment is fueled by massive power-based draw spells like Greater Good, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Rishkar's Expertise. The deck protects its attackers with efficient redirect and hexproof spells while disrupting opponents using damage-based sweepers and flexible interaction.
