Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive Commander (cEDH) Izzet storm list helmed by Ral, Monsoon Mage. The primary plan accelerates mana rapidly using low-cost mana rocks, rituals, and Ral's built-in cost reduction for instant and sorcery spells. On Turn 3, the deck looks to resolve Underworld Breach alongside Brain Freeze and mana-positive cards like Lotus Petal or rituals, milling its own library to generate storm count and mana before milling out all three opponents or casting a lethal Grapeshot. A secondary line utilizes Past in Flames, Bonus Round, or Birgi, God of Storytelling to chain spells through sheer volume. The deck is backed by premier free interaction, robust stack protection, and high-velocity card filtering, allowing it to threaten early wins while contesting opposing threats.
