Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal strategy commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. It uses Eminence cost reduction alongside low-cost mana rocks and enchantments like Heartless Summoning to cast expensive Sphinxes ahead of curve. The deck transitions into the midgame by deploying premier card engines such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Consecrated Sphinx, and Kindred Discovery. Once a formidable flying board is established, it leverages high-impact threats like Magister Sphinx, Azor, the Lawbringer, and Sphinx of the Second Sun to overwhelm opponents. A robust Esper control package—including Cyclonic Rift, Raise the Palisade, and Dovin's Veto—protects the board and clears blockers, culminating in lethal aerial combat finishes across turns 7 and 8.
