Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Vampire kindred aristocrats deck commanded by Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher. The strategy centers on deploying resilient Vampire creatures, generating token fodder, and utilizing free sacrifice outlets to drain opponents through death triggers while scaling Carmen into a massive airborne threat. Whenever any player sacrifices a permanent, Carmen grows and gains life, and each attack reanimates key permanents directly from the graveyard to the battlefield. The deck smoothly transitions from early board development into mid-game attrition, closing out games through cumulative life drain, overwhelming aerial combat, or the infinite combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. While it lacks fast mana and dedicated tutor packages, it compensates with high internal synergy, broad recursion, and resilient backup plans that function smoothly even without the commander on the battlefield.
