Deck overview

This Simic deck leverages the partner pairing of Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend to build an overwhelming counter-generation engine. Pir adds extra counters whenever any permanent receives them, accelerating Toothy's growth with every card drawn. The deck supports this core with an innovative Empower Jace planeswalker package, proliferate engines like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Flux Channeler, and high-impact draw effects. As Toothy rapidly swells into a massive threat, evasion cards such as Security Bypass and Rogue's Passage turn it into a lethal commander damage finisher. If opponents manage to remove Toothy, its leaves-the-battlefield trigger draws massive handfuls of cards to immediately rebuild. Alternate paths to victory include exiling opposing libraries with Jace, Reality Sculptor, triggering Simic Ascendancy, or overwhelming the board with Twenty-Toed Toad and planeswalker loyalty abilities. Strong reactive counterspells and phase-out protection safeguard the board while advancing toward a consistent Turn 8 finish.
