Deck overview

This Sultai deck is led by Teval, Arbiter of Virtue, a commander that grants delve to all spells at the cost of life equal to their mana values. The strategy uses early turns to ramp and fill the graveyard through efficient self-mill spells like Stitcher's Supplier, Malevolent Rumble, and Grisly Salvage. Once Teval enters the battlefield on turn 5, the stocked graveyard provides massive mana velocity, enabling high-impact plays such as a large Exsanguinate, Genesis Wave, or Darksteel Angel by turn 6. Because Teval causes life loss on cast, its 6/6 flying lifelink body is vital for recouping life buffers during combat. The deck backs up this strategy with targeted removal, flexible sweepers like Death Begets Life, and recursion from Six and Eternal Witness. The game usually concludes around turn 8 via combined drain and combat damage.
