Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange strategy led by Pizza Face, Gastromancer. It focuses on creating Food tokens, triggering sacrifice synergies, and distributing +1/+1 counters to grow an aggressive board of mutant attackers. The early game establishes mana development through ramp creatures and land tutors while dropping early token generators. By Turn 4 or 5, casting Pizza Face activates the Disappear ability, transforming ordinary Food tokens into 3/3 mutant creatures or bolstering existing threats. The deck scales into the mid-to-late game with high-power mutants such as Groundchuck & Dirtbag and counter multipliers like Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11. Combat damage serves as the primary path to victory, supported by incidental drain from Ninja Teen and Pactdoll Terror. While the deck recovers smoothly from single-target removal using graveyard recursion, its reliance on sorcery-speed ground attacks makes it vulnerable to board wipes.
