Deck overview

This deck is an Esper draw-pain control strategy led by Queza, Augur of Agonies. The game plan revolves around assembling continuous card-draw engines that trigger Queza's ability to steadily drain life from opponents while preserving your own life total. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and deploying disruptive permanents like Harbinger of the Seas and Thalia, Heretic Cathar to slow opposing development. Mid-game turns leverage efficient counterspells and board wipes such as Supreme Verdict to stabilize the battlefield. Once stable, high-impact payoffs like The Ten Rings, Reed Richards, Smartest Man, or Sphinx of the Second Sun generate overwhelming card advantage and life-drain triggers, closing the game alongside evasive combat damage from large flyers.
