Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Tom, Bert, and William as a repeatable card-draw engine that converts high-power creatures into massive hand refills. Supported by a dense ramp package of ten low-cost mana accelerants, the deck consistently develops five mana by Turn 4 to deploy its commander and start chaining sacrifice triggers. Large threats like Lord of Extinction, Archon of Cruelty, and Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma supply heavy raw power for draw spells and combat. The primary path to victory culminates on Turn 6 or 7 by deploying Lord of Extinction and sacrificing it to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, draining all three opponents of forty or more life in a single action, or by overrunning the board with Overwhelming Stampede. The deck exhibits outstanding recovery because the commander returns to play as an artifact upon dying, maintaining continuous card draw through removal.
