Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Dragon Tribal deck led by Firkraag, Cunning Instigator that blends aggressive aerial combat with goad control. During the opening turns, the deck sets up mana rocks and dragon cost reducers to deploy Firkraag on Turn 4. Firkraag has haste and flying, immediately goading opposing threats and drawing cards whenever forced attackers connect. In the mid-game, the deck deploys game-ending Dragon centerpieces such as Utvara Hellkite, Terror of the Peaks, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen, while spells like Disrupt Decorum and Bothersome Quasit leave opponents unable to block. Free counterspells like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat protect the board while Dragons close out the game over two combat cycles. The deck also includes an infinite token combo using Astral Dragon and Cursed Mirror.
