Deck overview

This Jeskai deck, piloted by The Second Doctor and Ryan Sinclair, combines group hug symmetrical card draw with asymmetric stax and draw-punishment mechanics. The strategy revolves around giving opponents cards while restricting their ability to cast them through Rule of Law, Archon of Emeria, Deafening Silence, Drannith Magistrate, and Stony Silence. As opponents accumulate full hands, cards like Razorkin Needlehead, Scrawling Crawler, Black Vise, and Molten Psyche deal heavy passive damage, while Alandra, Sky Dreamer, Minn, Wily Illusionist, and Homunculus Horde generate an evasive token army. The Second Doctor provides consistent card flow and soft pillowfort protection by preventing opponents who accept draws from attacking. Supported by efficient countermagic such as Swan Song and Dovin's Veto, the deck transitions into a lethal win on Turn 8 through wide combat swings, wheel bursts, or assembling the infinite draw-damage loop of Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity.
