Commander: Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar leads a Selesnya +1/+1 counter deck whose primary plan is to make creatures larger than their base power, attack under Kutzil's 'opponents can't cast during your turn' shield, and convert combat damage into card draw. Secondary lines are Cat tribal value (Arahbo, Felidar Retreat, Feline Sovereign) and a one-shot commander kill by pumping Kutzil with Strength of the Harvest or Colossification. Kutzil is the deck's draw engine and combat safety valve; there is no double-faced or hidden commander. The typical finish is a wide team swing with Overrun or Overwhelming Stampede, backed by flying or trample from Abzan Falconer and Duskshell Crawler.
