Marrow gnawer by Jaleego

Format: Commander

Commander: Marrow-Gnawer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black Rat tribal swarm deck helmed by Marrow-Gnawer. The plan is to flood the board with Rat Colony (24 copies) and token Rats, then leverage the commander's fear anthem and tap-sac ability to explode the board into an unblockable horde. Aristocrats payoffs (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Ayara, First of Locthwain, Mirkwood Bats, Syr Konrad, the Grim) convert every death into table-wide drain, while Thrumming Stone turns a single Colony cast into a cascade of free Rats. A thin combo line exists via Marrow-Gnawer plus Thornbite Staff or Ashnod's Altar into infinite tokens/mana and drain outlets. Recursion (Living Death, Patriarch's Bidding, Buried Alive, Reanimate) and devotion finishers (Gray Merchant of Asphodel) provide backup. The deck is a classic go-wide tribal aggro-aristocrats hybrid that wins through combat damage and life drain rather than stack interaction.
