Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal midrange build designed to ramp into large, evasive flying creatures. The commander, The Ur-Sphinx, provides a permanent one-mana cost reduction from the command zone through eminence, allowing the deck to cast impactful Sphinxes ahead of curve. The early game focuses on deploying two-mana mana rocks and tribal cost-reducers such as Watcher of the Spheres and Urza's Incubator. By the midgame, the deck establishes dominant value engines with Raffine, Scheming Seer, Tivit, Seller of Secrets, and Kindred Discovery. The late game closes out matches through overwhelming combat damage from high-powered flyers, augmented by Medomai the Ageless for extra attack steps and Magister Sphinx to quickly eliminate high-health opponents. An efficient suite of Esper interaction and counterspells protects key assets while disrupting opposing threats.
