Deck overview

This deck uses Liesa, Forgotten Archangel to turn creature sacrifices into recurring value. Sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer and Bartolomé del Presidio work with death payoffs including Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Cruel Celebrant, and Bastion of Remembrance. Creatures such as Doomed Traveler, Doomed Dissenter, and the many sacrifice-forcing creatures provide fodder or replace themselves. Liesa also exiles opposing creatures that die, limiting graveyard recovery. The deck has solid two-mana ramp and broad permanent removal, but its plan is slow and relies heavily on drawing several different roles. It has no supported infinite combo, no reliable same-turn kill, and little stack interaction. Its strongest ordinary games establish a durable attrition engine around turn 6 or 7, then win through repeated death triggers and incremental combat. The main weaknesses are commander dependence, limited tutoring, and the need to replay returned creatures.
