Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is an aggressive tempo strategy commanded by Sonic the Hedgehog. The primary plan leverages a dense suite of low-cost creatures with flash and haste, allowing the deck to deploy threats on opposing end steps and immediately attack on its own turns. When Sonic attacks, he distributes +1/+1 counters to all creatures with flash or haste, steadily growing an evasive and aggressive army. Heavy hitters like Knuckles the Echidna, Smaug the Magnificent, and Sentinel Sarah Lyons capitalize on wide boards and Treasure generation to output substantial combat and direct burn damage. The deck operates smoothly on curve through Turn 4 assembly, reaching a critical must-answer onset around Turn 6. Its primary limitations stem from fragile mana fixing in White, a lack of card-draw engines after initial deployment, and high vulnerability to board wipes across a multi-turn combat finish.
