Deck overview

This deck's strongest coherent plan is Maralen of the Mornsong plus Opposition Agent. Maralen of the Mornsong stops normal draws, makes each player lose 3 life, and forces a library search. Opposition Agent converts opposing searches into exiled cards that this deck can cast. The result is a strong asymmetric restriction, but not a hard lock: opponents keep their existing hands and can still cast spells or remove either permanent. Talion, the Kindly Lord, Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and Phyrexian Arena provide additional value when the restriction is absent or delayed. Removal and countermagic are broad but not dense enough to protect a fragile two-card engine consistently. Bolas's Citadel and Aetherflux Reservoir offer a powerful ceiling, yet their joint access and deterministic kill are not dependable. The deck is therefore a general-power control deck with a high-impact prison line, good interaction, and a slow, uncertain route to closing games.
