Deck overview

This mono-blue deck combines artifact-based combo finishes with asymmetric land-denial strategies enabled by Taniwha. While Taniwha phases out your lands during your upkeep, artifact mana rocks sustain your spellcasting and break parity on symmetry-breaking effects like Sunder, Land Equilibrium, and Ward of Bones. The primary win condition bypasses combat entirely: assemble Isochron Scepter imprinted with Dramatic Reversal alongside mana rocks that tap for three or more mana. This combination generates infinite mana and unlimited untaps, enabling an immediate same-turn kill via Walking Ballista, massive Blue Sun's Zenith draws, or infinite Capsize bounces. A robust suite of artifact tutors such as Fabricate, Reshape, and Whir of Invention ensures rapid assembly by Turn 4. To protect its game plan, the deck runs efficient counterspells, hexproof and indestructible shields through Padeem, Consul of Innovation and Darksteel Forge, and an oppressive secondary lock with Karn, the Great Creator and Mycosynth Lattice.
