Deck overview

This is a Sultai tokens and +1/+1 counter proliferation deck helmed by Xavier Sal, Infested Captain. The primary game plan is to ramp into Xavier early, then leverage his two activated abilities to create a synergistic value engine: sacrificing tokens to Proliferate powerful board states, and removing counters to Populate your best threats. The deck wins through overwhelming combat damage from an exponentially growing army of tokens, primarily fueled by Scute Swarm landfall triggers or a hasty 20/20 Marit Lage token from the Dark Depths/Thespian's Stage combo. Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres and Tribute to the World Tree provide the critical card draw to keep the engine running, while copy spells like Vesuvan Duplimancy and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces generate exponential value.
