Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Kaalia, Zenith Seeker as a repeatable card-advantage engine to dig for high-impact Angels, Demons, and Dragons. The game plan focuses on casting the commander on curve to fill the hand with diverse flying threats, then leveraging blink and bounce effects like Ephemerate and Restoration Angel to repeat the card-selection trigger. Once sufficient mana is established, the deck transitions into the midgame by deploying game-ending aerial beaters such as Terror of the Peaks, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Ancient Copper Dragon. A robust interaction suite of premier spot removal, including Swords to Plowshares and Terminate, complements asymmetric board control pieces like Archfiend of Depravity and Ruinous Ultimatum. Win conditions center on overwhelming flying combat damage accelerated by direct damage triggers and damage doubling from Dictate of the Twin Gods. Even if the commander is removed, the density of standalone threats ensures steady pressure across the table.
