Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Temur cascade engine commanded by Maelstrom Wanderer. The deck dedicates its early turns to rapid mana acceleration through land search, mana dorks, and artifact rocks. By Turn 5, it generates eight mana to cast its commander, which cascades twice into powerful nonland permanents and grants the entire team haste. The list leverages heavy hitters such as Apex Devastator, Etali, Primal Conqueror, and Terror of the Peaks to generate overwhelming board states in a single turn. Burn triggers from Purphoros, God of the Forge and Warstorm Surge supplement combat damage to close out games across two attack cycles. Because cascade casts spells for free on cast, the deck inherently resists traditional single-target countermagic, though it remains vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers due to its low count of dedicated protection spells.
