Dwarves by ruetbeer

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk is a Boros Dwarf-lord plus treasure engine. The deck's primary path is a mid-game Dwarf/Equipment alpha strike: Dwarf ETBs create Treasures, Magda converts taps into Treasure and later tutors a finisher like Colossus Hammer, and Bruenor or Kili make that Hammer equippable for free. Thorin's static pump turns the board into a swarm that can attack two players in one combat while an equipped commander deals 21+ damage to another. Secondary paths are incremental voltron kills with Dain or Reyav double strike and a token/value grind through Fili and Academy Manufactor. There is no hidden commander; adventure cards such as Bofur and Gloin are modal support in the 99, not alternate command faces.
