Deck overview

This mono-red Commander deck is piloted by Thor, God of Thunder, blending spellslinger velocity, voltron equipment scaling, and direct burn. Thor serves as both a value engine and a win condition: entering to recur an instant, sorcery, or equipment from the graveyard, and dealing damage equal to the mana value of every noncreature spell cast. Supported by efficient 1-to-2 CMC ramp and explosive treasure generators like Storm-Kiln Artist, Goldspan Dragon, and Neheb, the Eternal, the deck rapidly casts mid-to-high cost spells to burn away blockers and pressure life totals. High-impact equipment such as Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor, Commander's Plate, and Sword of Feast and Famine enhance Thor's combat presence, while cards like Chandra's Ignition and Isengard Unleashed scale damage across the table. It also features an infinite combat loop with Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine, providing a lethal finish around Turn 7.
