Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant is an Elf/Faerie value engine: every Elf or Faerie entry exiles two cards from an opponent and can, once per turn, let you cast one of those cards free if its mana value is within your current creature count. The deck's primary plan is to flood the board with cheap Faeries and token makers, stacking Maralen triggers and casting stolen spells for value. Secondary paths are a Faerie aggro/token strategy with Alela, Bitterblossom, and Banner of Kinship, and a deterministic infinite loop with Cloud of Faeries, Deadeye Navigator, and Intruder Alarm. Maralen accelerates both the tribal beatdown and the combo assembly by supplying free spells; there is no double-faced commander and no hidden commander.
