Gandalfs and Bilbos and Smaugs, oh my! by user8471875

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The deck is a legendary-Wizard value engine built to make Gandalf, Party Guest's free combat-step spell as large as possible. Its primary plan is to deploy a 'party' of Gandalfs, grow X to 4-6 by midgame, and chain instants and sorceries with Glamdring and Bilbo, Thief in the Night. Secondary paths use Treasure and Dragon Sagas, Smaug the Magnificent, and a 6/6 Smaug token for reach, with Desert Were-Worm as the actual one-shot finisher once enough Mountains exist. The commander is not a voltron piece; it is a repeatable free-spell engine. Cards such as Gandalf, Goblins' Bane and Gleam of Death fill the hand while Wizard's Staff and Anduril turn the Wizards into a serious attacking force.
