Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Angel tribal and lifegain midrange deck commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. The primary strategy focuses on establishing early mana acceleration into Liesa on Turn 4, immediately imposing a symmetrical 2-life tax on every spell cast across the table. Because Liesa features a 5/5 flying lifelink body, the pilot easily buffers their own life total while opponents bleed life from ordinary play. On Turns 5 and 6, the deck expands its board with high-impact Angels such as Archangel of Thune, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Resplendent Angel, or drain converters like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity. This compounds combat damage and passive attrition, closing out the table around Turn 8. The deck is notably resilient to commander removal because Liesa pays life instead of additional mana tax, ensuring quick rebuilding.
