Wizard's Party by MaybeILike5Colors

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jeskai Wizard-tribal spellslinger deck built to exploit Gandalf, Party Guest's free-casting trigger. The commander's X scales off legendary Wizards, and the 99 is packed with over twenty legendary Wizards - Gandalf the Grey, Gandalf the White, Kykar, Wind's Fury, Azami, Lady of Scrolls, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and more - so by mid-game the commander routinely free-casts 6-8 mana spells at the start of combat. The deck wins by chaining instants and sorceries through trigger doublers like Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran, Voice of Duality, pumping the Wizard board into a lethal combat swing, and finishing with massive spells like Insurrection, Full Throttle, and Surge to Victory. It is a value-and-combat deck rather than a fast combo deck, grinding card advantage through Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Kykar, Wind's Fury before closing with a big turn.
