Deck overview

This Simic midrange deck pairs Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend to convert raw card draw into massive +1/+1 counters, and vice versa. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration and deploying Pir to fetch Toothy directly into hand. Once both commanders are active, every drawn card rapidly inflates Toothy while triggering secondary engines like Chasm Skulker, Ominous Seas, and Simic Ascendancy. Opponents struggle to cleanly interact with Toothy due to its built-in leave-the-battlefield draw trigger, which instantly refills your hand upon removal. The deck finishes games by generating overwhelming unblockable combat damage with Herald of Secret Streams, resolving one-sided sweepers like Wave Goodbye, or draining the table directly with Psychosis Crawler. High redundancy in counter amplification and defensive spells ensures consistent performance and rapid recovery from board wipes.
