Deck overview

This five-color deck is built around Ramos as a mana battery: casting colored spells, especially all-five-color spells, loads +1/+1 counters that he converts into ten mana. The primary kill is Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus Walking Ballista, an infinite lifelink/counter loop that can be assembled by turn five or six with the tutor suite. Backup plans include Hullbreaker Horror with Sol Ring for infinite mana, proliferate-plus-counter engines that grow Ballista or dragons, and the Ancient Dragon cycle for card/treasure/reanimation advantage. There is no hidden commander; Ramos is the only general and the engine behind the deck's non-combo, big-mana game plan.
