Copy Spells by Richscav

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger deck built around Fire Lord Azula's ability to copy every spell cast while she's attacking, effectively doubling each instant and sorcery. The primary plan is to deploy magecraft pingers - Guttersnipe, Black Waltz No. 3, Vivi Ornitier, and Ashling, Flame Dancer - then chain instants and sorceries on a single combat turn, with each spell copied by the commander (and further multiplied by Thousand-Year Storm, Swarm Intelligence, and Pyromancer's Goggles) to stack damage across the table. Token generation from Talrand, Sky Summoner, Young Pyromancer, and Sedgemoor Witch provides a secondary board, while Exsanguinate and Inferno Project serve as late-game finishers. The deck leans on a dense instant-speed interaction suite and graveyard recursion via Kess, Dissident Mage to grind out inevitability.
