Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan graveyard combo strategy built around Nethroi, Apex of Death as a mass-reanimation engine. The deck spends the first three turns accelerating mana with efficient creatures like Birds of Paradise and Delighted Halfling, while filling the graveyard using dedicated tutors such as Buried Alive and self-mill engines like Mesmeric Orb and Ripples of Undeath. Once seven mana is available on Turn 5, Nethroi mutates onto a safe non-Human base like Sylvan Caryatid to reanimate up to 10 power of creatures at once. Returning Karmic Guide, Reveillark, a sacrifice outlet like Viscera Seer, and a drain payoff like Blood Artist immediately executes an infinite sacrifice loop that eliminates all three opponents in the same turn. The list features robust interaction with spells like Assassin's Trophy and Swords to Plowshares, along with potent plan shielding from Grand Abolisher and Silence.
