Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire Precon

Format: Commander

Commander: Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Jund list is a sacrifice-and-cheat value engine built around Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire's attack trigger: every combat he forces each player to sacrifice a permanent - including you, which the deck treats as a feature - and then flip the top card of their library onto the battlefield. Ramp spells and mana dorks get the six-mana dragon down on turn 4-5, while Sensei's Divining Top and Scroll Rack pre-load the flips. Each forced sacrifice feeds a deep sacrifice-matters package: Dictate of Erebos, Grave Betrayal, Riveteers Ascendancy, Mayhem Devil, Blood Artist, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and Mahadi, Emporium Master convert deaths into removal, cards, and damage. The primary kill is the same-turn infinite-combat loop of Savage Ventmaw plus Aggravated Assault, draining the table with sacrifice triggers; backup wins cheat enormous threats into play - Etali, Primal Conqueror, It That Betrays, Lurking Predators, Doors of Durin - or reset the game via Warp World on favorable terms.
