Deck overview

This Simic deck is led by Vannifar, Evolved Enigma and focuses on weaponizing the cloak, manifest, and disguise mechanics. By placing cards onto the battlefield face down as 2/2 creatures with ward {2}, the deck cheats the timing and casting costs of massive, under-costed beaters such as Eater of Days, Baloth Prime, Ancient Adamantoise, and Koma, World-Eater. Turning face-down cards face up does not trigger enter-the-battlefield abilities, neatly bypassing severe drawbacks like skipping turns or entering with stun counters. Supporting blink spells such as Ghostly Flicker and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling provide dual utility by either flipping face-down creatures with positive enter-the-battlefield abilities or protecting key assets from removal. Card draw engines like They Came from the Pipes and Secret Plans keep the hand full of fresh threats. The deck closes games through decisive combat steps empowered by Pathbreaker Ibex, Archetype of Imagination, and Hydra Omnivore.
