Deck overview

The Jolly Balloon Man leads a proactive Boros deck designed to exploit low-cost enter-the-battlefield creatures. The primary game plan accelerates early mana to cast the commander on Turn 3. Because The Jolly Balloon Man has native haste, it immediately copies utility creatures such as Spirited Companion, Wall of Omens, or Beetleback Chief for one mana. This generates continuous card advantage and token swarms while fueling burn engines like Impact Tremors, Witty Roastmaster, and Arabella, Abandoned Doll. The deck builds into a lethal threat around Turn 6 by stacking anthem effects from Cathars' Crusade or repeatedly copying token producers to overwhelm opponents in combat alongside direct life drain. Disruption is versatile, featuring repeatable removal from cloned utility creatures like Loran of the Third Path and Skyclave Apparition alongside efficient instant-speed exile spells. The deck maintains steady recovery through graveyard recursion like Sun Titan and Dusk // Dawn.
