03 - Blue by garbageatheart

Format: Commander

Commander: Katsumasa, the Animator

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue artifact animation deck that turns noncreature artifacts into flying attackers and grows them with +1/+1 counters. Katsumasa, the Animator adds three counters each upkeep and can animate at instant speed, but the deck runs twelve other animators so it does not depend on him. The primary plan is to flood the board with artifacts, animate them with Cyberdrive Awakener, Rise and Shine, March of the Machines or The Antiquities War, then proliferate counters to close with flying damage. Secondary paths are Thopter swarm from Sai, Master Thopterist and card advantage from Mystic Forge and Mm'menon, the Right Hand. Sai acts as the hidden commander for grind games.
