Deck overview

This deck executes a Boros forced-combat strategy helmed by Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer and Noble Heritage. The game plan revolves around rapidly scaling Baeloth's power using +1/+1 counters from the Background, turning his static ability into a blanket goad effect against opposing creatures. By forcing opponents into mandatory combat with one another, the deck generates Treasure ramp from creature deaths while depleting enemy life totals and board presence. Opponents who accept counters grant you temporary protection, shielding your life total from retaliation. As the game transitions into the final rounds, the deck leverages equipment and combat doublers like Reyav, Master Smith, Death Kiss, and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell to eliminate the final survivor through commander damage. While effective against creature-heavy tables, the deck exhibits vulnerability across multiple turn cycles and struggles against creatureless combo strategies and targeted removal.
