Deck overview

This is a Boros Equipment Voltron list built around Lightning, Army of One, a three-mana 3/2 with first strike, trample, and lifelink. Her Stagger trigger is the deck's unique payoff: once she connects, all damage to that player and their permanents is doubled until your next turn, so extra combats and damage doublers turn a single hit into a kill. The 99 exists to make that first connection large and safe - a dense Equipment suite, cheap auras like All That Glitters and Super-Soldier Serum, and attach engines such as A-Bruenor Battlehammer, Forge Anew, and Beatrix, Loyal General. Cloud, Midgar Mercenary tutors the exact blade she wants and doubles its triggers. Extra combat from Genji Glove, Aurelia, the Warleader, and Full Throttle multiplies Stagger inside one turn, while Twinflame Tyrant and Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor stack still more doubling. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through commander damage and the occasional oversized Chandra's Ignition or Nibelheim Aflame.
