Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Rakdos Treasure and Dragon burn strategy piloted by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the opening turns, deploying Smaug to harvest Treasures from opposing artifacts, and converting Treasure mana into a storm-like draw engine. Once Smaug is active, casting spells using Treasure mana continuously refills your hand, enabling you to chain cheap spells and deploy lethal aristocrat burn engines like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, Reckless Fireweaver, and Mayhem Devil. Alternate win conditions include massive mana sinks like Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate, extra combat steps via Aggravated Assault, and sudden upkeep victories through Revel in Riches. While the deck is inherently vulnerable to artifact sweepers and targeted creature removal, redundant draw engines like Mastermind Plum and high-impact dragons like Goldspan Dragon and Ancient Copper Dragon ensure resilient mid-game pressure and decisive finish potential.
