Deck overview

This Abzan deck combines a competitive stax shell with a dedicated exhibition endgame focused on resolving Divine Intervention. Helmed by Ravos, Soultender and Kodama of the East Tree, the deck uses fast mana and dual lands to deploy early Rule of Law effects, creature taxes, and search denial by Turn 3. These restrictions stall fast combos and aggressive boards while asymmetric engines like Trouble in Pairs and Esper Sentinel refill your hand. The deck searches up Divine Intervention using Academy Rector or enchantment tutors, then bypasses the normal two-turn upkeep delay with instant counter-removers such as Vampire Hexmage and Hex Parasite. Protected by Grand Abolisher and Silence, this finishes the game in a forced draw on Turn 6 with zero opponent response cycles.
