Deck overview

The deck is a five-color creature toolbox built around Protean Hulk and sacrifice outlets. Its strongest supported line is to assemble Protean Hulk with Carrion Feeder, Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, or another outlet, sacrifice Protean Hulk, and search for Vizier of Remedies plus Murderous Redcap. The two creatures create an infinite damage loop when the outlet is already present. Creature tutors, recursion, persist creatures, and several powerful standalone permanents give the deck useful midgame play. However, the plan is expensive and access is conditional. Many lands enter tapped, the list has limited stack interaction, and the key setup is vulnerable before the same-turn finish begins. Aura Shards, Grand Abolisher, and Conqueror's Flail can create strong tactical windows, but they do not form a reliable lock. Without Protean Hulk, the deck remains functional through Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Purphoros, God of the Forge, and large creature boards, but those routes are slower and less compact.
