Warp Maxxing (Abaddon the Despoiler) by leftlegcemetery

Format: Commander

Commander: Abaddon the Despoiler

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck uses Abaddon the Despoiler to turn small life loss into cascade value. You set up upkeep pingers and evasive attackers to make opponents lose life each turn, then cast spells from your hand that cascade into extra spells. The deck wins by grinding with incremental drain, doubling it with Bloodletter of Aclazotz, and finishing with Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Call Forth the Tempest. Abaddon is the value engine, not a combo piece. Secondary paths include token pressure from Field of the Dead and big demons that punish opponents for drawing or gaining life.
