Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange strategy led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. It focuses on curving out efficient counter-bearing creatures and acceleration pieces during the early turns, establishing Tidus by Turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, Tidus shifts counters to optimize attackers, triggering Cheer upon combat damage to draw cards and proliferate team-wide counters every turn. The deck scales steadily into the mid-game, utilizing explosive counter multipliers like Hardened Scales and Brokers Ascendancy alongside massive payoffs such as Maester Seymour, Sin, Unending Cataclysm, and Chocobo Knights. Evasion and trample enablers like Sphere Grid and Duskshell Crawler ensure combat damage bypasses blockers, while one-sided board wipes like Damning Verdict and Wave Goodbye clear the path for multi-turn combat eliminations. Defensive instants such as Mutational Advantage protect key investments.
