Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black K'rrik deck trades life for mana to launch a fast, high-impact game. The primary path is to deploy K'rrik by turns 2-3, then use his life-payment ability to cast draw engines like Ad Nauseam and Necropotence, and assemble the Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond/Vito/Defiant Bloodlord loop for an immediate table kill. Secondary lines include a large Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire using Cabal Coffers, and a Mikaeus/Triskelion infinite-damage combo. The commander is a crucial accelerator, but the win pieces are independent, so the deck can still function if he is removed. Interaction is mostly removal, with almost no stack protection.
