Deck overview

This five-color deck adopts a traditional political pillowfort strategy focused entirely on claiming and holding the monarchy. Rather than racing for an early combo, the deck uses low-cost ramp such as Birds of Paradise and Farseek to deploy mid-cost monarch enablers like Queen Marchesa, Court of Grace, and Court of Bounty on Turn 4. Once the crown is claimed, the deck uses rattlesnakes such as No Mercy, Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker, and Sphere of Safety to discourage opponents from attacking you. Upgraded Court triggers gradually build an overwhelming board presence of flying Angels, tokens, and mana advantages. The plan closes between Turns 7 and 9 by deploying Aragorn, King of Gondor or Keeper of Keys to make the wide creature army completely unblockable, eliminating opponents in consecutive attack steps while maintaining full life defense.
